In its effort to encourage young budding sportsmen, Tridhaatu presents the Acres Inter School Sports Championship 2019 set to begin from January 18 – 20, 2019. Students from over 200 schools in Mumbai will compete in eight different sports disciplines at the Acres Club, Chembur, Mumbai.
Speaking on the upcoming championship Ms Manasi Joshi, Para badminton and internationally acclaimed sportsperson said, “I am delighted to see students from so many schools participating in this championship. Focus, perseverance and hard work are what will drive you to the top. I believe everything is possible; you only need to have your goals drawn and then set out to achieve them. Every child is a winner; the only difference is that some recognize their calling earlier than others.”
Speaking on the occasion Mr Dhananjay Sandu, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Tridhaatu Realty & Infra Pvt. Ltd said, “We believe there is a dire need to encourage budding youngsters to achieve their goals and this is a perfect platform for them to showcase their talents. As a country, we have great sporting talent but recognizing and encouraging that talent is the need of the hour. We firmly believe that sport is a good physical activity that sharpens ones skill sets leading to a more successful and healthier life. It also instils in them a sense of discipline and helps them in their academics as well. The spirit of competitiveness will spur these youngsters to give in their best and help them take on challenges of life successfully in future.”
The three-day long sporting championship provides school children with a platform to perform at a level playing field, where individual talent and teamwork comes to play. This championship comprises of competitive matches, intense rivalries, special sessions on nutrition & fitness for kids and an entertaining Sports Festival featuring a number of top brands. Some of the finest skills are also likely to be witnessed as the best school teams around the city battle it out on the court.
The Eight Sports disciplines comprise the following:
- Football – Squad of (5+5)
- Basketball – Squad of (5+5)
- Table Tennis – Singles only
- Squash – Singles only
- Swimming – Five Strokes – Time Trails only
- Chess – Swiss League Format
- Lawn Tennis – Singles only
- Carrom – Singles only
