Strengthening the Modi Government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign, JCB India, country’s leading manufacturer of earth-movers and construction equipment, launched its ‘Made in India’ range of products named Telehandlers, Skid Steer Loaders and Super Loaders. Mr. Vipin Sondhi, MD & CEO, JCB India unveiled the three class leading machines in a press conference yesterday followed by a live demo session involving all the three machines showcasing their might.
These machines are made available to the Indian market in price range of Rs 24 lakhs to Rs 40 Lakhs. Explaining the benefits of these machines, Mr. Sondhi said, “Indian construction industry is now progressing towards more safe and reliable practices. These ‘Made in India’ products by JCB India fulfills that gap perfectly. We foresee a great opportunity to replicate the global best practices in the Indian material handling industry as well.”
JBC India currently offers three variants of Telehandlers – a 7m lift height known as 530-70, an 11m lift height known as 530-110, and a 17m lift height machine known as 530-170. JCB Skid Steers, a compact and versatile machine with unique side-door entry, are available in two variants – the 135 and the 155. Similarly, Super Loaders are available in two variants – a 3.1m dump height and a 4.0m dump height. Telehandlers to cost Rs 20-28 Lakhs, Skid Steers Rs 17-19 Lakhs and Super Loaders to cost Rs 30-40 Lakhs in the Indian market.
Talking about company’s growth prospects, Mr. Sondhi said, “India’s roads and highways sector is improving, offering a fair opportunity for growth to companies like us. However, there has to be a holistic growth for which more than one sector has to improve its performance. Irrigation, railways and real estate and construction sectors need to grow.”
“Smart City Mission is an opportunity for us. Heavy machines, earth-movers and loaders are required to develop large scale infrastructures. Our machines are apt to support urbanization and urban rejuvenation”, Mr. Sondhi further added.
