DLF Gardencity celebrates the language of romance, with an evening of Urdu Poetry – RealtyMyths

DLF Gardencity in collaboration with Delhi Shayari Club organized one of its kind poetry evenings at the premises of The Skycourt on 6th April, Saturday. The evening hosted prominent young poets of the country who recited their ghazals.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of poetry lovers. Acclaimed poets of the beautiful language of romance namely Aqib Sabir, Vipul Kumar, Abbas Qamar, Abhinandan Pandey and Pallav Mishra captivated the audience by their compositions. The poets belonged to the age-old tradition of Urdu poetry.

Some of the couplets they recited are… Der tak dekhte rehne ki saza paayi hai..Teri tasweer in aankhon mein utar aayi hai -Abhinandan Pandey

 Aisi maheen chot pe aisa sateek vaar…Lagta to hai ki teer kisi aashna ka hai -Aqib Sabir…Vaqt ki taaq pe donon ki sajaai hui raat..Kispe kharchi hai bata meri kamaai hui raat- Vipul Kumar..Aapki sadadili khud aapki tauheen hai..Husnwaalon ko zara maghroor hona chahiye -Abbas Qamar..Ye kya hua ki teri dhun mein jinse bichhde the..Unhiin ke saamne tujhse bichhad ke rona pada -Pallav Mishra

 “I love poetry and enjoyed the evening. We got to listen to such rich and beautiful literature. It is a beautifully woven event and a great initiative by DLF Gardencity.” said a resident of DLF Gardencity. The evening witnessed enthusiastic participation of the residents. Some of them came up and recited their own couplets and Urdu poetry on stage.

Poetry is an integral part of literature which leads the evolution of a language and culture. Urdu poetry is a rich tradition of poetry with many different forms and is gaining popularity amongst the Indian youth. Delhi Shayari Club contributes by bridging the gap between this tradition and the lovers of poetry.
